Here is a list of some great fonts to download for your upcoming holiday projects. Remember to ask the font designer’s permission for commercial use of the typeface.

Kingsthings Christmas

This fun font is the top hit at dafont.com in the Christmas section, and I can see why. It is has all the whimsy of a long day of sledding and hot cocoa. Designed by Kingsthings, a curious website with a great deal of design resources.

Faux Snow

Faux Snow? Fo’ Sho!  – er, Sorry about that. I’m just excited to have this collection of snowflakes for use in my designer Christmas cards. This ornament font was designed by aenigmafonts.com (there site was unavailable at the time of publish), but you can still find the download at dafont.com.

Festival Of Lights

A fine collection of illustrated Hanukkah ornaments contained in one handy font file. Designed by Dani Foster Herring, this font is available at fontspace.com

Between this font and a sea-sick crocodile, I’d choose this font.

Universal Fruitcake

This isn’t really a holiday font, but it does call to mind a certain Christmas movie. And more importantly, it comes to us from an amazing font website: pizzadude.dk – really fun stuff. On a related note, A Charlie Brown Christmas is available on Hulu. A nice surprise for people without cable TV – like me.
